Diversification is at the very core of our plan. Through investment attraction, Alberta will be a global leader in new and emerging industries.
- Making Alberta’s economy the most diversified in North America by attracting job-creating investment from around the world.
- Boosting growth in key sectors like hydrogen, tech and innovation, film and TV, cultural industries, finance and fintech, aviation, aerospace, and logistics.
- Taking action to make Alberta an important player in technology and innovation by attracting investment and supporting leading edge research in quantum computing, AI, energy efficiency and more.
Growing our
resources
We are leveraging our prosperous, abundant natural resources for even greater success in the modern economy.
- Building on our success as a reliable and responsible energy producer through natural gas, hydrogen, minerals and geothermal development, reducing emissions, and enhancing First Nations participation.
- Amplifying our reputation and capacity for high-quality agricultural and forestry products to meet global demand.
- Expanding our tourism sector, which attracts visitors from all over the world.

Building for the future
Alberta’s population will grow almost 50% in the next 25 years. We’re creating infrastructure jobs today so we will have the roads, schools and hospitals we need for tomorrow.
- Expanding rural broadband to make rural Alberta an even better place to live and raise a family while still working for companies on Bay Street, Wall Street and Main Street.
- Investing $20.7 billion to build hundreds of projects and create 90,000 direct and indirect jobs over the next 3 years.
- Modernizing irrigation infrastructure with a once-in-a-generation investment that will create 8,000 jobs and support a diversified value-added processing industry.
